GE Security

GE Security was a division of General Electric Inc's GE Enterprise Solutions. It was acquired by UTC on March 1, 2010 and is now part of UTC Fire & Security. GE Security's division provides intrusion alarm systems, integrated security systems, fire systems, access control, video surveillance, explosives and illegal drug detection, key control/lockbox, fiber optic transmission, machine guarding, and more. GE Security is based in Bradenton, FL.

GE Security is mainly aimed at businesses (medium to large), organizations, and governments, but products from GE Security are available for both residents and small businesses. GE Security includes different families of detection systems, web-based surveillance systems, and aviation security products, such as handheld and walk-thru explosive/narcotics portals. Much of General Electric's fire systems came from the acquisition of Edwards Systems Technology from SPX Corporation in May 2005.

On November 12, 2009, GE Security announced that it had signed a definitive agreement with United Technologies Corporation for UTC to acquire GE’s Security business for $1.82 billion. The transaction was approved by the boards of both companies, and the sale closed on March 1, 2010.

8 or 16 IP Channel Network Video Recorder

The TruVision™ NVR 20 (TVN 20) is a network video recorder designed to support video streams from IP video cameras. IP camera support includes resolutions from standard resolution to 5 Megapixel from Interlogix and third party IP camera manufacturers. The NVR 20 also supports the Interlogix UltraView™ Encoder 10 H.264 for integrating existing analog cameras. Up to 8 or 16 video inputs may be configured and internal hard drive capacity ranging from 2TB-16TB makes the TVN 20 ideal for extended storage or megapixel camera applications. Additionally, hard drives may be configured to provide redundant recording for multiple cameras.* Recording options include Continuous, Motion, and Alarm or combined scheduled recording modes.

UV / Dual IR flame detector in Eexd - IIC T6 flame proof housing

The FF756 is a UV / IR² flame detector in a flame proof housing. UV / IR² models have execellent response to flame while providing immunity to extraneous sources. New micro-processor technology makes the detectors independent of flame intensity enabling it to operate through smoke, a layer of oil, dust, or water vapor. A high and low sensitivity setting according to EN54-10 is provided.

LaserSense Nano High Sensitivity Smoke Detector

LaserSense Nano is designed to provide reliable aspirating smoke detection in a small, easy to install package. The detector is supplied in a robust polycarbonate enclosure. An internal DIL switch enables simple onsite programming without the need for a special programmer or laptop PC. ClassiFire Perceptive Artificial Intelligence ensures that the detector operates at optimum sensitivity for the protected environment, without the need for complex setup. This means the product will configure itself to provide high sensitivity in a computer room or reduced sensitivity in a smoky area. Interfacing to Fire panels or BMS systems via integral Pre- Alarm, Fire and Fault relays.

Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector

The Signature Series Model SIGA-PS Intelligent Photoelectric Smoke Detector gathers analog information from its smoke sensing element and converts it into digital signals. The detector’s on-board microprocessor measures and analyzes these signals. It compares the information to historical readings and time patterns to make an alarm decision. Digital filters remove signal patterns that are not typical of fires. Unwanted alarms are virtually eliminated.
The microprocessor in each detector provides four additional benefits - Self-diagnostics and History Log, Automatic Device Mapping, Stand-alone Operation and Fast, Stable Communication.
